Transgenic Facility Tour Info
Each year the Transgenic Facility hosts tour groups from Kentucky high
schools, University classes and research labs. Group size and time limitations
will determine the tour's contents.
Typically, a tour group will:
- Receive an overview of the transgenic animal production process
- See a microinjection demonstration
- Get hands-on experience by actually performing a microinjection (possibly
resulting in the creation of a transgenic animal)
Location:
- The UK Transgenic Facility is located in room 333 of the Dorothy
Enslow Combs Cancer Research Building of the Lucille P. Markey Cancer Center
on the University of Kentucky campus
