Students may schedule and sit for a reading and/or writing placement test at a testing center location that is convenient to them. The two placement tests are offered via the COMPASS online testing system, and a list of testing centers is available here.
COMPASS tests are untimed. There is typically a fee associated with the testing center, and that fee is determined by that location.
The process for scheduling and taking a remote placement test is:
Determine whether you need reading and/or writing placement exam(s). This can be done by reviewing the information received from the Office of Admission and/or Academic Enhancement.
Academic Enhancement will process your request. You will then receive a confirmation email with a registration number and contact information for the testing center you chose.
You must contact the testing center to schedule a day and time.
