The Praxis I® Pre-Professional Skills Tests (PPST®) measure skills in reading, writing and mathematics. Each test includes multiple-choice questions and an essay question on the Writing test. These tests are designed to evaluate skills needed to prepare for a future career in education.
There are three separate tests:
Reading Test: Measures the ability to understand, analyze and evaluate written messages.
Mathematics Test: Measures those mathematical skills and concepts that an educated adult might need.
Writing Test: Assesses the ability to use grammar and language appropriately and to communicate effectively in writing.
