Acting as chief advocate of the department, Megan coordinates all public relations, branding, marketing and outreach for the department. She also serves as a liaison to help build and maintain collaborative relationships between Academic Enhancement and other units on campus. Megan also supervises, oversees, and supports the graduate staff that is responsible for teaching EPE 174: Theories of College Student Success
Megan is originally from Port Huron, Michigan, and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 with a BA in Integrated Strategic Communications with an emphasis in direct response. Megan worked for Academic Enhancement from 2005 to 2008 and returned as their Assistant Director for Marketing and Outreach in 2010. She earned an MS in Social & Philosophical Studies in Education from UK's Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation in 2012 and her research interests currently include the use of marketing within higher education, the first-year experience, and student culture.
Megan lives in Lexington, Kentucky, with her husband, Clay, and their two chocolate labs, Maddy and Wally. In her free time Megan enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hanging out by the pool, and cheering on her KY Wildcats.
