AMSTEMM > Current Students > Peer Mentoring Peer Mentoring
Every Student in the AMSTEMM program is assigned an upper division peer mentor who has been selected by the AMSTEMM staff. The role of the peer mentor is to serve as a point of contact about college life for students during their first two years on campus. Mentors contact their students once a week and meet biweekly with the AMSTEMM staff to discuss their experiences and to be updated on program/ campus events. Student Testimonial "I thoroughly enjoy providing younger U.K. students with academic and personal assistance, specifically by answering questions and providing advice. I believe that serving as an AMSTEMM mentor allows me to have a positive influence on these students that may help them achieve academic and professional success in the future."
