Students: this page contains important information about your Medical Terminology course (CLA 131).

For the spring 2010 semester:

Please note: This is not a lecture course; it is computer-assisted and largely self-paced.

Beginning with the spring semester, 2009, orientation sessions will not be given at the beginning of the semesters. Students must, however, acknowledge having read and understood the syllabus and the examination protocols, both of which may be accessed from this page. Such acknowledgment will be made on Blackboard, which the student may access from the UK main web page or myUK, once the student has registered for the course. If the course is not yet on Blackboard, please check back closer to the beginning of the term.

The required text for the course is this: Bruce Wingerd, Medical Terminology Complete!, Pearson Prentice Hall, 2009. ISBN 0558411851 (special ISBN including web link).

Many Internet resources, including practice quizzes and reviews, will be offered to the student through Blackboard. This web page may be accessed through the link provided when the student buys his or her textbook. If you already have the text but do not have the link, check with the bookstore.

You may contact the TA course administrator, Aliea Pastore, via email at AEPA222@uky.edu or by telephone at 257-7014.
