Joan Callahan

Joan C. Callahan is Professor of Philosophy and Professor of Gender and Women's Studies. Her teaching and research are primarily in the areas of political theory, practical ethics, and morality and social policy. She has special interests in the question of sanctioning subordinating speech and she is also currently working on creating an audio-visual archive on feminist philosophy, centering on six-hour videotaped interviews of feminist philosophers.
