Recent Awards.

Professor Thomas Leinbach has been named the 2006-07 College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professor.

Professor Jonathan Phillips has been named University Research Professor.

Professor Sue Roberts won the William Sturgill Award for Excellence in Graduate Education.

These awards represent the UK's highest professional recognition for outstanding teaching, research and service.

David Correia, Ph.D. 2006: Dave will be an assistant professor in the Geography at University of Maine at Farmington, beginning August 2005.

Ben Smith, Ph.D. 2006: Ben will be an assistant professor in the Department of Geography and International Relations at Florida International University in Miami, FL, beginning August 2006.
