Chris Blackden is a PhD candidate in the University of Kentucky Geography Department. Chris obtained a masters degree in the same department in 2005 and a double Bachelor’s degree in geography/ anthropology and economics from the University of Southern Maine in 2003. His research interests include state theory, theories of power, and transnational agricultural trade regimes. Currently he is researching transnational hegemonic political articulations between the World Trade Organization and the Indian state over matters of agricultural economy.
