I completed my Bachelor of Science in Archaeology at the University of Calgary, Canada and myMaster of Arts in Anthropology at the University of South Carolina. I then worked as an archaeologist in various areas of the US, including the southeast, southwest and west before returning to Canada to work as an archaeologist and traditional knowledge facilitator with Canadian First Nation and Métis communities in the western sub-Artic.
I have conducted research in northern Ghana, focusing on domestic spaces and the gendered roles of women, and the material correlates of these processes. My current research interests include women, livelihood practices and subsistence-level agricultural as it relates to development efforts in these communities, particularly communities experiencing political marginalization based on ethnic and tribal categorizations.
