Profile

Tonya currently is enrolled in the MA program in geography and the MSLS Program in Library and Information Science, both at Kentucky. Her research interests include feminist/gender, queer, and literary theories and geographies; cultural studies; post-structuralist and postmodern social theory; spaces of "identity" and "consciousness," especially performativity discourse and the deconstruction of binary oppositions of sex/gender; and contemporary women's literature. The subject of her thesis (in-progress) is the socio-spatial aspects of performative identity among female-to-male transsexuals.
