Recent Awards. Professor Thomas Leinbach has been named the 2006-07 College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professor. Professor Jonathan Phillips has been named University Research Professor. Professor Sue Roberts won the William Sturgill Award for Excellence in Graduate Education. Professor Stan Brunn was recognized with the SEDAAG (Southeast Division of the Association of American Geographers) Life Time Achievement Award! These awards represent the UK's highest professional recognition for outstanding teaching, research and service.
