Diagnostic Features and Trivia : Microcline is comonly found in pegmatites since it forms at a lower temperature than Orthoclase. Often its distinctive blue color will give it away.

Twinning : Commonly polysynthetic on both albite and pericline laws, giving characteristic grating and gridiron structures.
