The Permian Period

The Permian Period lasted about 55 million years. It was about 280 to 225
million years ago. At the beginning of this period invertebrates filled the
land. As time passed toward the end of the period there was a great
extinction. It was almost the end of invertebrates. 90% of all invertebrates
died. Scientists still can't figure out what caused it.
