Application Materials and Procedures

The Dean of the Graduate School admits students to the philosophy graduate program upon the recommendation of the department's Director of Graduate Studies. Applications for the philosophy programs can be obtained either from the Graduate School Admissions Office:

or from their website: www.research.uky.edu/gs/gsapplication.html.

A completed application form, official transcripts, and official scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) should all be sent to the Graduate School Admissions Office. In addition, three letters of recommendation, a sample of written work, a department data sheet (download here) and a statement of professional goals and objectives should be sent directly to the Director of Graduate Studies, from whom further information may be obtained:
