Ruth Baer, PhDAssociate Professor Department of Psychology 106-A Kastle Hall University of Kentucky Lexington, KY 40506-0044 Office Phone: 859.257.6841 E-mail: rbaer@uky.edu Recently I have begun a new program of research on mindfulness and mindfulness-based interventions. I am interested primarily in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Current and future projects include application of MBCT to binge eating disorder, assessment of mindfulness, relationships between mindfulness and other constructs, and physiological effects of mindfulness practice. Clinically, I am interested in cognitive-behavioral interventions and in psychotherapy integration, especially in the relationships between mindfulness skills and more traditional cognitive-behavioral interventions. I enjoy training students in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for borderline personality disorder. I also have considerable experience in assessment and enjoy supervising a variety of assessment procedures.Selected Publications: Baer, R. A. (2003). Mindfulness
