10 Steps to Becoming a Wildcat

1. Choose Your Track

Choose whether you’ll apply Early Action or Regular Decision and find out when your application deadlines are. Learn more at applyuk.com.

2. Apply!

Complete our combined application for undergraduate admission, competitive scholarships and the Lewis Honors College. Find all application dates and deadlines at applyuk.com (The University of Kentucky accepts the Common Application).

3. Send Us Your Stuff

  • Send in your ACT/SAT score(s) (ACT code: 1554 | SAT code: 1837).
  • Have your high school transcripts sent to UK.
  • Have a teacher or guidance counselor submit an academic letter of recommendation on your behalf (Find the form at seeblue.com/recommend).
  • Pay your application processing fee ($50 domestic, $60 international).

4. Check Your Application Status

Three to four weeks after submitting your application, you can head online to check your status at seeblue.com/status.

5. Apply for Aid

The Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2017-18 will be available beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, at www.fafsa.gov. Incoming freshmen who are admitted to UK and complete the FAFSA prior to Dec. 1, 2016, will receive an estimated early financial aid notification before the new year. 6. Search for Scholarships

Use our scholarship search to identify additional opportunities that fit your personal criteria at seeblue.com/scholarsearch.

7. Visit Campus

Planning a campus visit is the best way to envision yourself as a UK student. Schedule online at uky.edu/visitorcenter, or call us at 859-257-3595.

8. Find Your Home

Discover which campus living situation best suits you by completing the housing and Living Learning Program application at uky.edu/housing.

9. Ask Questions Questions?

Ask away! Find your admissions counselor at seeblue.com/recruiters, or give our office a call at 859-257-2000.

10. Confirm Your Spot

Confirm your decision to attend UK by registering for your “see blue.” U Orientation. At “see blue.” U, you’ll meet other students, hear from campus offices and organizations, meet with your academic advisor and register for classes. Learn more and register at uky.edu/seeblueU.
