Student Checklist

This is a checklist which you may download or print for your convenience. If you follow the steps outlined here, you will be ready for classes to begin!


A male student
  1. Contact the Adult Student Services Center.
  2. Apply for financial aid by completing and submitting FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You may apply online at FAFSA web site. Also, please refer to our scholarship link for awards to adult students at the Adult Student Service web site.
  3. Complete and submit admissions application. appropriate documents if required, and $50 application processing fee. You may apply online as an undergraduate student or as a graduate student.
    1. Request high school transcript or GED certificate to be mailed to the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
    2. Request college transcript(s) to be mailed to the Undergraduate Admissions Office or request a bachelor degree transcript to be mailed to Graduate School Admissions Office.
  4. Receive letter of acceptance and information about registering.
  5. Schedule an advising conference (for undergraduates only) to meet with an academic advisor and officially enroll. Advisors will discuss a degree audit showing what courses you need to take to complete your degree.
  6. Attend an advising conference and officially enroll online using myUK, the online registration system.
  7. Receive statement and pay tuition and fees via mail, online, or in person.
