He will be irreplaceable in the department from his knowledge about grain markets to his bad (and occasionally good) jokes Although he has retired, Dr. Riggins will not stop working -- He will continue work at his consulting firm which focuses heavily on Agricultural BASIS. He will be truly missed by all! To his wife Karen, we wish you the best of luck!
- Future Alumni Born
- Aleta Botts and Robert Doyle, 2 alumni of our department, have had a baby! Elijah Duke Doyle arrived at 9:07 September 30. He weighed 7 lbs, 3 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long. According to Aleta, he has his father's face and his mother's stubborness. Aleta is a staffer on the House Agriculture Committee in DC, while Robert is still with Southern States in Richmond VA.
- Rick and Alicia Ostermeier want to announce the birth of their son, Cooper. He was born in early October and wighed in at 6 lbs, 15 oz. Cooper is doing well and Alice and Rick are excited about getting into the parent routine. The Ostermeiers have moved to Greenwood, IN where Rick has been working as a Data Integrity Analyst.

2007 Agricultural GSO Picnic
Those that attended the 2007 Fall GSO Picnic had a great time, got to know each other better and went away full. What more could we ask! The food, games and little ones were the highlight of the event and provided much entertainment to all that attended.
