Clubs and Organizations

One of the best ways to gain a greater understanding of Agricultural Economics while adding to your resumé is by getting involved with our student organizations

Agribusiness Club
For Undergraduate Students - The Agribusiness Club brings together undergraduate students and local and national agricultural business leaders to promote the understanding of the business of agriculture and to give students an opportunity to learn many of the facets of agriculture that show up in almost all areas of our lives. The Club meets regulary to visit local agribusinesses and has one in-state and one out-of-state trip each year.
Graduate Student Organization
For Graduate Students - Ag Econ GSO serves to enhance the experiences and outcomes for UK Ag Econ graduate students. We accomplish this as a liaison between graduate students and the faculty and staff of the Department of Agricultural Economics, provide and communicate opportunities for professional growth such as funding, conferences, or workshops, and most importantly, have events & adventures that give students a chance to get to know Kentucky agriculture, Lexington, and each other, a little better!
Quiz Bowl Team
For Undergraduate Students - The Quiz Bowl Team gives our top academic undergraduate students an opportunity to compete against students from other universities at the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) annual meeting, the Southern Agricultural Economics Association annual meeting, and other competitions such as our Centennial Quiz Bowl Invitational.
