My area of research is production issues related to dark tobacco in western Kentucky and northwestern Tennessee. This includes all facets of production, particularly fertility, pest control (weeds, insects, diseases) and sucker control, variety evaluation, curing, and physiological issues such as time of planting, harvest date, plant spacing effects, and weather effects.
