Extension (75%) 

     Provide leadership and support to county extension staff and dark tobacco producers in Kentucky and Tennessee. Dissemination of production information through peer-reviewed extension and research publications, field days, winter meetings, and farm visits. Diagnosis of transplant, field, and curing problems.

Research (25%)
     Applied research program in Kentucky and Tennessee supports extension program and includes variety evaluation, transplant production, fertility, weed management, topping, sucker control, harvesting, curing, and quality issues.
