PLS 556 - Seed Production and Technology, 3 credits in fall semester of even numbered years. This course is designed to provide upper level undergraduate and beginning graduate students with a basic knowledge of seeds and their role in agriculture. Principles followed during seed production, conditioning, testing, and marketing will be presented. The seed laws, regulations, and organizations relating to seed distribution and use will be discussed.

PLS 657 - Seed Biology, co-taught with Prof. Geneve, 3 credits in spring semester during odd numbered years. This graduate level course discusses structure, development and function during plant reproductive development and seed ontogeny, including fertilization, embryogeny and endosperm development, seed formation, maturation, germination, dormancy and deterioration. Three hours lecture per week.
