Horse Owners Grazing School

Horse owners living on small acreage have a real challenge in maintaining pastures for their horses. The Horse Owners Grazing School discusses topics related to establishment of pastures, weed control, and species selection all related to the local area. In addition there are sessions covering health issues for horses on pasture, meeting the nutritional needs of horses on pasture, grazing strategies and pasture management practices.

The program is a multi-county program that has involvement from county agents, veterinarians and extension specialists.

There are for (2 hour) evening sessions in this program. As with Horse College, contact your county agent if there is interest in having this program in your area.
