Eweprofit I School

Eweprofit I School will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University of Kentucky C. Oran Little Research Center Sheep Unit on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. 

This school is designed for new and prospective sheep producers, although veteran producers are welcome to come and hone their shepherding skills.  The school emphasizes hands-on instruction in activities of April, October, and January/February lambing systems.  Body condition scoring principles, vaccination techniques, internal parasite control, forage management, and lamb marketing will be the primary areas of emphasis in Eweprofit III.

Instructors are members of the University of Kentucky sheep faculty and staff (Dr. Don Ely, Dr. Debra Aaron, Mr. Endre Fink, and Mr. Tracy Burden).  There is no registration fee required, but please contact Dr. Don Ely of your intent to attend – or 859-257-2717.
