Eweprofit II School

Eweprofit II School will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University of Kentucky Animal Research Center Sheep Unit on Tuesday, October 7, 2008.

This school is designed for new and prospective sheep producers, although veteran producers are welcome to come and hone their shepherding skills.  The school emphasizes hands-on instruction in activities of April, October, and January/February lambing systems.  Body condition scoring principles, vaccination techniques, equipment requirements for each lambing system, and lamb docking and castration techniques will be the primary areas of emphasis in Eweprofit II.

Instructors are members of the University of Kentucky sheep faculty and staff (Dr. Don Ely, Dr. Debra Aaron, Mr. Endre Fink, and Mr. Tracy Burden).  There is no pre-registration or fee required for participation.

For more information, call Dr. Aaron at 859-257-7553.
