Master's Degree Information for Prospective Students

Graduate work (M.S.) in Agricultural Education is a part of the Career, Technical and Leadership Education (CTLE) Graduate Program. The CTLE Program has two options: Career and Technical Education (CTE option); and Community and Leadership Development (CLD option). Students interested in Agricultural Education should choose the CTE option.

The CTE option is designed for educators, both formal and nonformal. Public school teachers, extension agents and other agricultural educators are welcome to apply for the graduate program.

Assistantships in Agricultural Education

Assistantships in Agricultural Education are limited. Assistantships include a tuition waiver (but not a fee waiver) and a stipend for Fall and Spring semesters only. Applications are due by December 1, 2008 for the 2009-2010 school year. Students should also be preparing materials and applying for for the CTLE graduate program by this date as well. Official assistantship offers can only be made to students who have been admitted into the program. Unless otherwise noted, students can have assistantship support for UP TO two years - after the first year, the student is evaluated and the second year of support is granted based upon satisfactory or better performance. We anticipate the following assistantships available for 2009-2010 academic year:

• Graduate Teaching Assistantship for up to 2 years starting Fall 2009
• Graduate Teaching Assistantship for up to 2 years starting Spring 2010
