Agricultural Education at the University of Kentucky is housed in the Department of Community and Leadership Development (CLD), which is a unit in the College of Agriculture. CLD also houses programs such as Agricultural Communication, Rural Sociology, and Public Service and Leadership. Agricultural Education is a joint program with the Family and Consumer Sciences Education (FCS Ed) program, housed in the Department of Family Studies, which is a unit in the College of Agriculture's School of Human and Environmental Sciences. Together, Ag Ed and FCS Ed form Career and Technical Education (CTE) at UK.
Even though CTE (Ag Ed and FCS Ed) is housed in the College of Agriculture, CTE works closely with the College of Education on issues related to teacher certification and program accreditation.
