Linda joined the Community and Leadership Development
Department, as Staff Support Associate, on April 17, 2006. She
offers clerical support to many faculty members in the
department, with most of her duties focusing on the Agricultural
Education Program and its Assistant Professors, Dr. Bryan Hains,
Dr. Rebecca Epps and Dr. Stacy Vincent. She also serves as
Staff Support Associate for the National Association of
Agricultural Educators (NAAE) working with Executive Director,
William Jay Jackman, Associate Executive Director, Alissa Smith,
Communications and Marketing Coordinator, Julie Fritsch and
Meeting Planner, Miranda Chaplin.
Linda was employed
by the University in September, 1989 and began a long association
with the College of Agriculture at that time. Her first assignment
was with the Cooperative Extension Service as Staff Support
Associate for the Family and Consumer Sciences Department. She
worked with 2 Clothing & Textiles Specialists, 1 Home Furnishings
Specialist and 1 Extension Associate for the Environment.
Her second
assignment in the College began in July, 1998 as Staff Support
Associate with the College of Agriculture Office for Advancement.
She worked closely with the Associate Director for Alumni, and other
office personnel, by preparing mailing materials and processing
registration for many events including summer area chapter meetings,
graduation and retirement functions, Alumni bus trips, and Roundup.
Her duties also included serving as bookkeeper for the AG & HES
Alumni Association and preparing financial and budget reports for
that association’s quarterly meetings.
While
employed with the College of Agriculture Linda has received several
recognitions. They include:

Linda resides in
Paris, KY with her husband, Woody. They are the parents of 1 son
and 1 daughter and the grandparents of 1 grandson and 1
granddaughter. Linda’s hobbies include stamped cross stitching
(mostly baby quilts), reading, and listening to music. |
