Lissa Pohl holds a B.S. Degree in Nutrition from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington (1985) and a Masters Degree in Psychology with a focus on Transformational Leadership from The Union Institute & University in Montpellier, Vermont (2006). She joined the Center For Leadership Development in January 2008 after working as a Manager of Training and Leadership Development for Thomas & King, Inc., a large franchiser of Applebee’s restaurants and Carino’s Italian Grills. Lissa has worked as an independent consultant with many non-profit and small businesses here in the Bluegrass – Commerce Lexington’s Leadership Lexington and Leadership Central KY, KY Bankers Association, KCCJ’s Youth Leadership Program, and Georgetown College’s Leadership and Ethics programs. How people ‘embody’ leadership competencies is Lissa’s area of expertise and she will gladly tell you how and why Equine Guided Leadership Education is a great way to learn how to “show up as leader”. She is also a certified Lights On Leadership Entrepreneurial Coach and a certified Plexus Team Spirit Facilitator. Lissa hails from Boulder, Colorado and Seattle, Washington and enjoys music, art, training and riding horses, and great walks in the Autumn colors. She moved to Lexington, KY with her husband and two daughters in 1999.
