Evolution, Ecology, and plant-insect interactions

Current Research
Being a new graduate student, I am currently doing much background research to decide which avenue of study I would like to pursue.  I have narrowed the field down to insect –plant interactions between Stator limbatus and a variety of exotic host plants.  From the plant perspective, I am interested in how seed damage affects germination.   From the beetle aspect, I would like to examine the genetic trade-offs arising from colonizing an exotic host.
