POSITION: Assistant Professor of Entomology

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph. D. in entomology or appropriate biological science. Applicants must have training and experience in the area of veterinary entomology. Post-doctoral experience and evidence of success in securing competitive funding are preferred.
  
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The appointee will be expected to develop/maintain a nationally recognized research and teaching program in veterinary/medical entomology. Research will involve biology and management of economically important livestock insect pests. The appointee will be expected to interact regularly with the Departments of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Sciences to enhance research and teaching missions of all three departments. Duties will also include teaching an undergraduate course in livestock entomology and an undergraduate/graduate course in medical entomology, and the direction of graduate students.
