Extension Professor, Extension Specialist in Floriculture

Extension Responsibilities: continuing education programs on greenhouses and flower production and use for greenhouse operators, county extension agents, garden center operators, vocational horticulture instructors and the general public.
Research Responsibilities: applied research on bedding plants and cut flowers, irrigation systems for greenhouses, "manufacturing" systems for greenhouse cut flowers, especially roses.
Teaching Responsibilities:
Current : PLS 220 Introduction to Plant Identification - core course for Plant & Soil Science majors & Landscape Architecture majors - since 1993.
Previously taught: HOR 245 Plant for Interiors I - for Horticulture and Interior Design students 1978-1989 and HOR 345 Plant for Interiors II - for Horticulture students 1977- 1991; assisted other instructors with HOR 335 Greenhouse Management, HOR 524 Floriculture, BIO 575 Plant Anatomy, HOR 622 Advanced Plant Physiology, AGR 697 Soil and Plant Relationships, HOR 697 Special Problems and HOR 790 Research in Horticulture
