Educational ProjectsGiven the uncertain future of tobacco in Kentucky agriculture and the attendant high interest in horticultural crops, the education of horticultural professionals is an activity that underpins development of the industry in the state. Teaching children about horticulture is another important activity. The purpose of these projects is to develop alternative delivery methods and educational resources, primarily for distribution over the World Wide Web. Projects currently underway involve developing teaching modules in the area of horticulture for elementary schools and adapting on-line university-level horticultural course materials for use by students with physical and/or learning disabilities.
