Most people take pride in their home landscape. Many times the efforts put into creating and maintaining an attractive landscape will pay off in enhanced property value. The Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach, also know as Plant Health Care (PHC), will help the homeowner understand how to handle the many problems that can affect woody landscape plants. The IPM/PHC philosophy addresses problems through the safest approach, using different pest management tools alone or in combination depending on the situation. In all cases, the landscape must be closely monitored to detect potential pest problems.

Pests can then be managed using such tools as:
Cultural Control
Biological Control
Genetic Control
Mechanical/Physical Control
Chemical Control
