Plot Description

Planting Dates: 3-24 (Chambourcin & Niagara), 3-27 (Vidal),  3-28 (Norton & Traminette), and 5-1-00 for all others.

Spacing: 2.5 m x 5 m or 8 ft between vines x 16 ft between rows.

Replications: 6, laid out across all 4 rows.

Notes and Comments

There are three vines per cultivar per plot.

All vines are trained to the single cordon system, except for the Vinifera varieties Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay, which were trained to the vertical shoot positioning system (single low wire cordon).
