UK - Corn & Soybean Working Group
Early Management Decision Meeting
Issue (Who Cares and Why?): Each fall,
producers are encouraged to purchase
inputs early to take advantage of cheaper costs, possibly to reduce tax
burdens.
What Has Been Done?:
Two
meetings were conducted to help farmers make
informed decisions on their purchases.
Impact?:
Approximately 86% of the respondents, representing 100,000 acres
felt more confident about their management decisions after the meeting.
Ninety-five % thought the meeting was valuable enough to them to
attend a similar meeting the next year.
