UK Corn & Soybean Working Group

Soybean Rust Management Training

Issue (Who Cares and Why?): Soybean rust has the potential to devastate the soybean crop and can cause financial losses even if the rust is not present.

What Has Been Done?: Trainings, websites, listervs, phone hotlines and newsletters were all used as methods for educating producers.

Impact?: Based on surveys, Kentucky farmers saved $5.8 million by choosing not to spray.
