A unique 18 month program offering intensive study and travel experiences for a select group of young agriculturalists and agribusiness persons.

Funded by the Kentucky Agriculture Development Board, the Kentucky Agricultural Leadership Program (KALP) is a state-wide agricultural leadership program for farmers and agribusiness persons that focuses on leadership skills, economic subject matter (such as trade, globalization, state and federal farm policy, etc) and enhancing the management skills of participants.

This intensive, 18 month program consists of 10 seminars in Kentucky; a 5 day study tour to Washington D.C., a 5 day visit of agriculture in another state, and a 10 day international study tour to a major agricultural competitor (previous groups have traveled to Brazil, Argentina, Chile and/or Mexico). Selected participants will receive a scholarship valued at $28,000.

The Kentucky Agricultural Leadership Program is a member of the International Association of Programs for Agricultural Leaders.
