IAPAL is a consortium of leadership programs in the USA and several other countries. Members of IAPAL meet annually to share programming ideas, including speakers, seminar topics, fundraising, and travel. This conference draws program leaders from most of the state-wide ag leadership program in the United States and several international programs (two Canadian programs and an Australian visitor at this year's conference).
During this year's conference, conference attendees will be treated to various tours related to agriculture/leadership development and get an opportunity to visit with ag leadership graduates/participants from the host state and see local communities/agriculture. Recent conferences have been held in New Orleans (2013), Canandaigua New York (2012), Chicago (2011), Stirling Scotland (2010), and Jackson Hole Wyoming (2009).
