Hudson River Valley Greenway

Also located in the northeast is the Hudson River Valley Greenway.  This greenway is a massive network of trails, parks, historic and cultural sites, waterfronts, and farms stretching 253 miles from New York City’s Battery Park to Albany and Troy, New York.  Unlike Stowe Recreation path, this greenway was created through legislation.  In 1991, the Hudson River Valley Greenway Act was passed establishing a regional or linked Hudson River Trail System. Obviously, the Hudson River Valley Greenway is much larger in degree than Town Branch and Fayette County, but it shows the potential of a greenway on a regional scale.
