Segments 1 & 2 (comments)

· Downtown to S. Forbes.  Begin at Thoroughbred Park and acknowledge water-not necessarily on actual path. Nodes; fountains, watering troughs.
· Parking structure on both sides of viaduct accessed from viaduct?  Ramp?
· Formal first section; Founders Square/ “Gaslight” district.
· Green node at intersection of Newtown extended.
· New development
· Possible restaurants and shops on North side.
· New hotel
· Rework transformer, connect Woodward Heights Park.
· Recommend redevelop existing rail yards as residential.
· Existing abandoned RR alignment as trail along creek.
· Creek crossing of old RR bed as opportunity.
· Tunnel under RR possibility
· Widen Manchester under RR
· Widen where cross creek near existing RR
· Extend gaslight commercial on south side of creek beyond new intersection with Newtown.
· Link across railyard/Buchanan to cemetery.
· Fingers of open space through new residential to older neighborhood.  Redev. Lexington mechanical, also S. Manchester St. as residential.
· Old Southern States bldg. at Versailles/Newtown.  Residential or Farmer’s Market.
· RR crossing to Forbes Rd.
· Possible link to Calvary, but Buchanan more logical.
· Cross Rd before viaduct, connect w/ Pyramid.
· Tunnel under to connect to Speigle Park.
· Backside of active RR to the get back to creek, cont. along creek.
· Conflict at Forbes as well.
· Re: dev. along creek.  Office/mixed use.
· Pepper Dist as loft, artist office, Restaurants, live/work.
· Quarry: older section-higher, potential park, and 40’ above creek.
· McConnell connection along Short line.
