Welcome
June 4 - 9, 2011
Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, Acme, Michigan USA
Over the past 30 years, Nidovirus Symposium has evolved – together with the Order Nidovirales – into a triennial event that covers all aspects of nidovirology study. The primary objective of this symposium is to provide the opportunity for the scientists who are working on three genetically closely related positive stranded RNA virus families (Coronaviridae, Arteriviridae and Roniviridae) to share their latest research findings, exchange ideas, and disseminate information.
Generally, the participants will include well-established investigators, junior investigators, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. For newcomers to this field, the symposium is an excellent opportunity to obtain an overview of the most recent developments, and to discuss ideas with experts in particular areas of nidovirology.
The XIIth International Nidovirus Symposium will be held from June 4-9, 2011 at Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, Acme, Michigan, USA.
The program will include a keynote address, state-of-the art lectures, plenary lectures, poster sessions and ample opportunity for collegial social activities. The plenary sessions will be focused on following topics: virus attachment, entry and genome uncoating; virus replication and assembly; structural and functional relationships; virus host interactions and pathogenesis; viral immune response; epidemiology, evolution and emerging viruses; vaccines and antivirals; diagnostics and disease control.
