State Conference - The Kentucky Youth Seminar

Junior Leaders work on communicating.

The Kentucky Youth Seminar is where the American Private Enterprise Youth Program really begins to pay off -- literally! Each June, 14 scholarships, totalling almost $10,000, are awarded to Youth Scholars who score the highest in the competition. Two Junior Leaders also get scholarships. Additionally, 20 people are selected for an expense-paid trip to the National Institute on Cooperative Education

During the seminar, particpants continue to gain a better understanding of American business by solving problems as officers and directors of corporations and cooperations. Workshops help prepare them both for college and for business with leadership training, communication training, interviewing skills, money management training, and transitioning from high school to college.

The materials for the Kentucky Youth Seminar are available here for you to download to your computer or to print out (you will need to have Adobe Acrobat to view them). Be sure to bring them with you to the seminar!
