Resolution Number One
WHEREAS, this organization, Horticultural Inspection Society, The Southern Chapter, by its nature is involved with subjects and problems parallel with some of those considered by the Southern Plant Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this chapter of this organization, at its Founders Meeting held January 6 and 7, 1999, at the Arkansas State Plant Board, Little Rock, Arkansas, empowers its president to inform the Southern Plant Board of the formation of the Horticultural Inspection Society, The Southern Chapter, and to provide it with copies of the Constitution and By-Laws of this organization, as well as a copy of this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this chapter of this organization offers its cooperation to the Southern Plant Board and solicits their cooperation in working with matters of mutual concern.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Southern Plant Board be advised that it is the aim of this chapter of this organization to limit its concern to areas below administrative policy, except where advice is sought, and to involve itself more with procedures and information directly related to the work of its members.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that The Horticultural Inspection Society, The Southern Chapter, requests the Southern Plant Board to pass on to the National Plant Board a copy of this resolution together with copies of the Constitution and By-Laws of this chapter.
