THE SOUTHERN CHAPTER
Resolution Number Five
WHEREAS, the Horticultural Inspection Society, Southern Chapter, at it’s Founder’s Meeting, set out the duties of the elected officer of Editor, an Executive Committee member; and
WHEREAS, the members see a need to establish better communication within the Chapter,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: The office of Editor will remain an elected officer of the Chapter and an Executive Committee member. The positions of Chapter Assistant Editor and Webmaster will be appointed by the Executive Committee to assist the Editor in communication with the Chapter membership. The position of Assistant Editor will be responsible for helping to gather articles from each of the states to contribute to the newsletter. The position of Webmaster will be responsible for maintaining the Official Horticultural Inspection Society, Southern Chapter Website and keeping it current to the news and events of the Chapter. The positions of Chapter Webmaster and Assistant Editor will not hold Executive Committee privileges of voting on executive matters.
