RESOLUTION NUMBER 9
Host State Appreciation
WHEREAS, the Horticultural Inspection Society, Southern Chapter Annual Meeting was graciously hosted by the member state of Alabama in the City of Gulf Shores; and,
WHEREAS, the host state, the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, has planned a successful meeting by arranging convenient meeting and lodging facilities, excellent food, and an informational and enjoyable field tour. Effective planning has ensured that the meeting has been a rewarding, educational, cultural, and social experience.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that: By the membership of the Horticultural Inspection Society, Southern Chapter, at it’s Annual Meeting in Gulf Shores, Alabama, on September 20, 2002, we thank Richard Wingard and his committee for their outstanding work in the preparation and implementation of this meeting.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that: the Horticultural Inspection Society, Southern Chapter extends sincere thanks to the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, as well as the meeting’s sponsors for their support of the 2002 meeting.
