Host State Appreciation
WHEREAS, the Horticultural Inspection Society, Southern Chapter Annual Meeting was graciously hosted by the member state of Florida in the City of Lake Buena Vista; and,
WHEREAS, the host state, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, has planned a successful meeting by arranging convenient meeting and lodging facilities, excellent food, and an informational and enjoyable field tour. Effective planning has ensured that the meeting has been a rewarding, educational, cultural, and social experience.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that: By the membership of the Horticultural Inspection Society, Southern Chapter, at it’s Annual Meeting in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, on September 12, 2003, we thank Stacey Simmons and her committee for their outstanding work in the preparation and implementation of this meeting.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that: the Horticultural Inspection Society, Southern Chapter extends sincere thanks to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, as well as the meeting’s sponsors for their support of the 2003 meeting.
