Project Description

This symposium project partially supported a symposium honoring the contributions of Dr. Lynn Riddiford to basic and applied entomology. This symposium was held in December 2006 at the Annual Meeting of the Entomological Society in Indianapolis, IN. The meeting was international in scope wiht representation from Asia, Europe and South America as well as the US. The symposium was well attended with 127 members in the audience when a count was taken midway through the symposium.

Impact

This symposium led to a proposal led for publication of a special issue of the journal of Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology which was accepted and published in 2007 (Volume 37:741-890). The PI's of this proposal served as guest editors for this special edition. There were 14 publications in this special issue and an introduction written by the PIs.
