The Kentucky Turfgrass Council, through its education empowerment program, offers scholarships annually to students attending Kentucky Universities and majoring in Turfgrass Science.  More information regarding college programs can be obtained by contacting the following:

Scholarship Mission

To reward outstanding students who embody exceptional character by maintaining the highest standards of personal conduct to reflect positively upon themselves, their family and the turfgrass industry.

Scholarship Application Process

The Kentucky Turfgrass Council scholarship is being offered this year in much the same fashion as it has in past years.  Applicants for the KTC Scholarships must be fulltime Turf or Horticulture students at an accredited institution As a recipient of a scholarship, you are expected to lead by example and to present yourself in public in an honorable fashion.  If you feel that you can not follow these guidelines, then you should not apply.  The following is a list of REQUIRED materials that you need to provide to be considered for this year’s scholarship.

  • Completed application
  • Two letters of recommendation (Not from your academic advisor)
  • A copy of your university transcripts (Official copies not required this year)
  • A professional copy of your resume
  • A paragraph response (TYPED) to the following questions:

Q1.  What are your plans after graduation?

Q2.  Why do you believe that you deserve this scholarship?

IDeadline:  All applications for the 2005 KTC scholarships must be received by October 7, 2005.
